Backend Engineer Mid-Senior

Summary

Join NordLayer's Endpoint Protection Squad in Warsaw or remotely in Poland, contributing to the development of highly secure management tools for enterprise devices and threat protection. The team is building a platform with features like an App Versioning Engine, Download Protection Platform, Device Security Posture Module, Centralized Policy & App Setting Enforcement, and Enterprise Browser Settings & Reporting UI. As a Backend Engineer, you will expand and improve the codebase using PHP, prioritizing security and advocating for best practices. You will collaborate with other teams to unify workflows and streamline operations. The role requires significant experience in PHP, Symfony, and building scalable systems. Opportunities exist for both mid-level and senior engineers.

Requirements

• 4+ years (for middle level engineer) OR 6+ years (for senior level engineer) of experience in software development, primarily in PHP
• Fluency in Symfony
• Understanding of OOP principles & good code design
• Previous experience in building highly scalable systems
• Knowledge of API design and good MySQL practices with experience handling big data quantities
• Familiarity with Docker, RabbitMQ, Redis, and version control using Git
• B2 or higher level of English
