Summary
Join Magic Media, a global media and tech group, as a Backend Developer. You will be responsible for backend API development, administration pages, and design, development, testing, and debugging of gaming titles. This role requires extensive server programming experience with games and proficiency in backend development languages (C# preferred). Requirements
- Possess very strong knowledge of backend development
- Proficiency in languages like JS (nodejs), Java, Go, C#, Python, Ruby, or other commonly used languages (C# preferred)
- Knowledge of database modeling, normalization, and relational databases
- Familiarity with performance bottlenecks and ways to resolve them
- Strong debugging skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to new technological changes as per project need
- 2+ years of experience as a backend developer
- Involvement in the development of at least one large game title from A-Z
- Proficiency in C#, Java, or any other object-oriented programming language
- Knowledge of setting up CI/CD systems (Jenkins, Github Actions, etc.)
- A passion for video games
Responsibilities
- Develop backend APIs for gaming titles
- Develop administration pages to operate the game
- Design, develop, code, test, and debug game backend systems
- Estimate task completion
- Write technical design documents
- Work on several different projects that use different technologies
- Work in a group with multi-disciplinary people to achieve the best result possible for all game features
- Give your own ideas on how to solve specific game and technical problems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with serverless and AWS Lambda
- Familiarity with Unity engine
- Experience with Amazon Gamelift, PlayFab, Nakama, or related services
- Experience with Docker, AWS, and deployments
- Understanding of CI/CD processes: Terraform, CircleCI
- Knowledge about NFT concepts
- Solid technical foundation (e.g., Computer Science/Maths Degree or equivalent)
