Summary

Join Parallelz as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer and architect and maintain secure, high-availability cloud infrastructures, applying cybersecurity best practices and managing virtual cloud networks. Develop and maintain internal QA tools and leverage analytic stacks such as ELK for proactive monitoring. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and scalability. You will also troubleshoot complex issues and continuously monitor platform security. This is a full-time, remote position offering a competitive salary, benefits, and an Employee Stock Option Plan.

Requirements

  • Experience developing backend APIs and infrastructure
  • Proficient in Python and Go
  • Deep understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, DNS)
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity and cloud security best practices
  • Proven experience deploying and managing unmanaged cloud infrastructure
  • Experience implementing and optimizing container orchestrators like Kubernetes
  • Experience working with analytic stacks, such as ELK

Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and maintain secure, high-availability cloud infrastructures
  • Utilize cloud-based analytical stacks (e.g., ELK, Prometheus/Grafana) for monitoring, logging, alerts, and performance tuning
  • Apply cybersecurity best practices to safeguard infrastructure, applications, and data, including cryptography and secure communication protocols
  • Develop and maintain internal QA tools
  • Orchestrate and optimize containerized workloads using OCI Containers and Kubernetes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient systems that meet business objectives
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to networking, load balancing, and container orchestration
  • Continuously research and integrate emerging technologies to enhance platform security, scalability, and efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi)
  • Familiarity with database design principles
  • Experience with Traefik
  • Experience with GitHub Actions
  • Knowledge of OpenTelemetry
  • Ability to develop load and stress testing plans for large-scale infrastructures
  • Experience working with pub/sub messaging queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
