Backend Software Engineer

Summary

Join Holycode's Hoshii team as a Backend Software Engineer to build and maintain the integration layer between Hoshii's AI workspace platform and various ERP/CRM systems. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless customer onboarding and building a reliable, high-performance backend system. The position involves architecting and maintaining backend systems, leading integration development, collaborating with customers and ERP providers, and resolving production issues. Requirements

• Strong coding and debugging skills
• Proven experience building and maintaining backend applications using Java, Go, C# or similar
• Proficiency with RESTful API design and microservices architecture
• Proficiency with relational databases (Postgres) and familiarity with NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Proven experience with implementing DevOps cycles, even simple ones (as long as effective), from deployment (Docker), to orchestration (Kubernetes) and monitoring (Grafana)
• Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and their use in decoupling systems
• Excellent communication skills in German, good command of English
• A drive to work hands-on with clients while iterating based on user feedback
• Strong sense of ownership: you love to take the lead on projects and ensure they reach success

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain reliable, high-performance backend systems
• Lead the development of the integration layer
• Integrate and maintain various ERP and CRM systems into the platform to fully automate data entry and workflow processes and think of how we can deepen the integrations
• Build relationships with ERP providers together with the business development team to make sure they become part of the local hero program
• Collaborate with customers to identify integration needs & challenges, and deliver effective solutions tackling them
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues across services and levels of the stack, and promptly resolve business-critical disruptions that impact the customers
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with distributed systems concepts (e.g., CAP theorem, consensus protocols) and microservice patterns (e.g., SAGA, 2PC)
• Familiarity with ERP systems
