Backend Software Engineer

Summary

Join OLX's cross-functional team in Poland as a Backend Engineer, contributing to scalable solutions using Golang and Kotlin. Collaborate with engineers and product teams, modernizing systems and deploying via GitLab CI/CD to AWS. Requirements

• An engineer with solid experience in software development, ideally with Golang, Java/Kotlin, or PHP
• Someone with experience in relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Memcached) and a good grasp of AWS and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• A problem solver who approaches challenges with both a technical and user-first mindset to build impactful solutions
• A team player who is open to discussions, cross-team collaboration, and knowledge sharing

Responsibilities

• Contributing technically to projects and taking part in the planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects
• Being an integral part of a team and establishing credibility with the quality of your own and your team’s technical execution
• Encouraging the team to innovate, invent, implement and deploy complex software solutions
• Asking questions, brainstorming and owning the product we are building
• Working closely with the product management team to ensure we’re building the best products for our users
