Remote Back-end Software Engineer, NodeJS/TypeScript

Summary

Join Printify as a Backend Engineer and contribute to building a platform that empowers individuals to start their own e-commerce businesses. As a member of the MarTech squad, you will work on improving merchant education, providing tech support, and creating tools for attracting new users, managing customer relationships, and communicating effectively with merchants.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Familiarity with NestJS is required
• Knowledge of PHP is beneficial, as a lot of code in Printify is in PHP
• Understanding of software development principles such as clean code , refactoring , SOLID principles, DDD , and CQRS
• Experience in writing comprehensive tests (unit, integration, e2e)
• Proactivity in challenging the status quo and suggesting improvements
• Ability to think critically about different solutions and discuss trade-offs
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working cross-squad and engaging in team discussions
• Fluent written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Work with the latest versions of Typescript and NestJS
• Be involved in collaborative thinking with the team about how best to serve our merchants
• Understand the user deeply - their pain points, their needs, their motivations, etc
• Receive support from your direct manager - regular 1:1s, where you will be able to discuss any topic and receive frequent feedback that will help you improve and showcase how you’re doing
• Be able to lead feature development and collaborate cross-squad
• Focus on development, maintenance, and scaling across Printify products
• See the result of your work because of the frequent updates about how Printify's users use the features the team is developing and maintaining
• Work in a place that fosters experimentation. We almost always use feature flags and AB tests when releasing
• Release to production every day to see your impact instantly
