Backend Software Engineer, Observability

Based in Palo Alto, CA or remotely in the US, you will build the technical foundation for our drone delivery system's data aggregation and synthesis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create clear data visualizations. Develop and deploy robust technical solutions for data synthesis and aggregation from various sources, and efficient API interfaces for data visualization platforms. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Continuously optimize the platform's architecture for scalability and security. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in backend software development using C++ and other relevant programming languages
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience working with frontend software systems, including debugging web applications
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for innovation and a desire to contribute to the development of cutting-edge drone delivery solutions

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy robust technical solutions for the efficient synthesis and aggregation of Wing’s drone delivery system data from various sources
• Develop and deploy efficient API interfaces to supply data for diverse operational data visualization platforms
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers, backend engineers, system engineers and product managers to enable observability into site launch and daily operations
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to industry best practices and internal coding standards
• Continuously evaluate and optimize the platform's architecture to meet evolving business needs and ensure high levels of scalability and security
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
