Join Octagon as a Baseball Sales & Marketing Trainee and gain hands-on experience in sports marketing. This paid, part-time (20 hours/week), remote, temporary position is ideal for current students or recent graduates. You will provide administrative support, conduct market research, build client lists, and proactively reach out to leads. Responsibilities include developing presentations, managing team requests, and responding to client inquiries. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in sales or marketing outreach. A strong interest in baseball is preferred.

Requirements

• Be a current student or recent graduate
• Be highly proficient with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Have experience in sales or marketing outreach, business development, cold calling, and research
• Be very organized with a strong attention to detail
• Have proven experience in positions requiring discretion, judgment, tact, and poise
• Have the ability to work under deadlines

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the marketing team by compiling and organizing data, managing existing marketing deals, researching new leads, and scheduling meetings/calls
• Conduct research on NIL marketing trends and identify new opportunities for client partnerships
• Build and maintain target lists of brands for potential marketing collaborations with clients
• Proactively reach out to marketing leads via phone and email to explore new business opportunities
• Research specific markets and brands to enhance marketing strategies and client positioning
• Develop and coordinate presentation materials for internal meetings, pitches, and sales efforts
• Manage and facilitate requests for the Creative and Legal teams to ensure smooth campaign execution
• Respond promptly to client requests, handling inquiries related to marketing, appearances, logistics, special requests, travel arrangements, and other client services
• Organize, maintain, and update key client and marketing information files for efficient access and workflow

Preferred Qualifications

• Have graphic design experience
• Have a strong interest in baseball
