Join Waymark as a Therapy Manager and become a core member of a multidisciplinary care team redefining care delivery for Medicaid patients. You will provide remote behavioral health therapy, triage patients, and deliver evidence-based therapies. You will also supervise and lead other therapists, contributing to hiring, training, and model implementation. Requirements
- Deep commitment to improving healthcare for underserved populations
- 3+ years post-Master’s-degree experience delivering evidence-based psychosocial treatments to patients with behavioral health needs
- 2+ years in a clinical supervisory role
- Alignment with Waymark’s core mission and values
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP). Waymark is willing to sponsor Virginia state licensing in select instances
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate in writing, in-person and virtually in a multidisciplinary team setting
- Must reside in Virginia, greater Richmond preferred. Virginia active license in good standing required
Responsibilities
- Deliver psychosocial treatments and behavioral interventions for disorders common in the Medicaid population and amenable to remote behavioral health treatment (e.g., treatment for depressive and anxiety disorders, trauma, insomnia, chronic pain, substance use disorder etc.) via evidence-based time-limited therapeutic relationships
- Provide direct telephonic and SMS-based outreach to individuals on Medicaid who are likely to benefit significantly from behavioral health care (e.g., following recent behavioral health admission)
- Help CHWs, pharmacists and care coordinators apply behavioral health tools (e.g., motivational interviewing) to support patients’ behavioral changes to improve health
- Participate in QI activities to promote increasingly high quality, cost-effective, and high value care (e.g., inform refinement of analytic dashboards, process improvement activities, documentation of internal workflows)
- Triage behavioral health needs as they arise (e.g., reports of suicidal ideation)
- Supervise and lead other therapists in your market; includes clinical and operational support (e.g., monitoring and supporting adherence to proven workflows, providing education, supporting professional growth of direct reports)
- Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders (e.g., primary care providers, psychiatrists) to help patients receive comprehensive care
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting underserved populations with a spectrum of behavioral health needs
- Experience in community mental health, hospital/medical social work, inpatient behavioral health, or case management
- Experience and familiarity with behavioral health services in the Richmond or Hampton Roads area
- Experience delivering single session interventions (also known as single session therapy, single session thinking or single session consultations)
- 3+ years experience delivering CBT, DBT, PST, SFBT, or ACT
- Experience developing policies and procedures
- Familiarity with the Collaborative Care Model of care
