Summary

Join Arc'teryx as a Benefits Lead - Canada and become a subject matter expert in administering and supporting employee benefits, leaves, wellness, and retirement programs. Requirements

  • Have a post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business (or the equivalent experience), with 5+ years’ working experience with a Canadian or global benefits environment
  • Have a strong knowledge of Canadian benefits-related legislation, with the ability to learn and understand emerging Canada and global regulations
  • Have or would like to obtain a CEBS GBA 1 and GBA 2 designations
  • Possess strong vendor and relationship management skills
  • Have a good understanding of benefit program processes, benefit plan details and government mandated benefits
  • Have strong analytical skills, with the ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Have a mindset of continuous improvement, and challenge the status quo, implementing process improvements as possible
  • Have a strong customer service orientation, able to establish collaborative working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Be able to handle sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner
  • Effectively balance autonomy and collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, delivery and implementation of the company’s employee total wellbeing programs related to group health and dental benefits, wellness, leaves and absences, retirement, recognition and additional perquisites
  • Perform auditing and reporting requirements in compliance with the CRA
  • Provide consultation to key internal stakeholders, including Arc’teryx People & Culture team, and business partners on program awareness, policies and best practices
  • Build strong rapport and manage escalations from all employee benefits tickets with key internal and external stakeholders to identify timely solutions and process improvement
  • Provide recommendations on technical ticketing system efficiencies/automation and determining effectiveness or benefits categories based on data extracts and reporting, SLA’s and evolving programs and perquisites
  • Review data and feedback from employee listening channels including surveys and diversity councils and identifying gaps to provide recommendations on employee education campaigns, curated communication and program adjustments
  • Support the design and management of Paid Time Off programs and other perquisites
  • Regularly audit and report on program performance, trends, employee data integrity and providing costing analysis and impacts of future programs
  • Manage case escalations from disability management programs (Short-Term and Long-Term) with a high degree of sensitivity, partnering with business partners, people leaders and health and safety on program requirements and return to work accommodations
  • Provide internal Payroll and HRIS teams direction on program configurations and accurate employee and employer premiums calculations and top-up payments
  • Actively participate and lead benefits projects, including annual open enrollment and implementations including Human Resources Information System (HRIS) such as Workday and ADP. Leading testing and configuration requirements
  • Participate in other total rewards projects and duties, as assigned
  • Develop the communication strategy, tools and employee self-service resources and assets to enhance the awareness and understanding of the company’s benefits and total wellbeing programs
  • Lead the implementation and championing the usage of new benefit programs and/or policy changes. Collaborate with internal and external partners to propose market leading programs that are authentic to Arc’teryx
  • Regularly review internal and external carrier process improvements to better support a seamless employee experience
  • Regularly report and audit of data related to enrollments, program utilization and projected costing for annual budget cycles and other initiatives
