Summary

Sympower is seeking a remote BESS Program Manager to join their Market Strategy team. The role involves developing BESS business case models, leading modeling of the BESS business case and revenue stack, partnering with the Commercial team to design deals with potential customers, supporting in deal review processes, leading strategic analyses, contributing to BESS strategic reviews, exploring partnerships and merger & acquisition options across the BESS ecosystem, and project managing BESS strategic deals. Requirements

  • 5 years+ relevant experience such as technical project manager, strategy consultant and/or energy analyst roles
  • Knowledge of energy & electricity markets and/or regulatory frameworks, emphasising energy market flexibility products, energy trading is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, proficient in financial assessments and commercial analyses using tools like Excel with Python coding a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools and stakeholders management
  • Strategically oriented mindset
  • Hands-on, motivated by speed and execution
  • Interest in working with a mission and values driven organisation, with a passion for participating in the Energy transition

Responsibilities

  • Develop BESS business case model & contribute to building the BESS portfolio
  • Lead the modelling of the BESS business case and revenue stack across key target markets
  • Partner with the Commercial team to design creative deals directly with potential BESS customers to build Sympower’s BESS portfolio
  • Support in deal review processes including approvals by leadership team and supervisory board
  • Lead strategic analyses to drive decision making. and refine the BESS strategy
  • Identify and execute analyses to refine BESS strategy - e.g. geo footprint, pricing, customer segments, long term differentiation, etc
  • Contribute to BESS strategic reviews and updates to the leadership team and supervisory board
  • Deliver insights (e.g. market trends) to inform our product strategy
  • Partner with Corp Development to explore partnerships and merger & acquisition options across the BESS ecosystem
  • Project manage BESS strategic deals:. from signature to delivery
