Summary
Join Financeit as a Bilingual Funding Officer and play a crucial role in reviewing loan applications, ensuring exceptional customer service to partners and borrowers. This fully remote, 6-month contract position demands organization, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. You will manage the loan adjudication process, adhere to service level agreements, and provide coaching to merchants. The role requires proficiency in calculating financial ratios, understanding lending requirements, and maintaining operational integrity. Requirements
- Bilingualism in French is required
- Customer Service experience is required
- Technical and organizational abilities are a must
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Availability between the hours of 4:00 PM and 12:00 AM ET, from Monday to Friday, and between 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET on Saturdays and Sundays
Responsibilities
- Manage and complete the loan adjudication process by validating supporting documentation and reviewing loan conditions
- Adhere to established service level agreements (SLAs)
- Provide on the spot coaching to any merchants that require additional document policy training and build lasting customer relationships with Partners
- Provide prompt, efficient, detailed customer-oriented service to all Partners and Borrowers, respond to all inquiries promptly and maintain detailed notes
- Calculate financial ratios to evaluate customers’ financial worthiness
- Maintain knowledge of lending requirements, internal policies and procedures, and compliance and regulatory requirements
- Follow security and safeguarding procedures for the prevention of loss due to fraud, money laundering or defalcation
- Understand risks and take appropriate actions, including all documentation, and any other requirements to maintain operational integrity
- Review own work for accuracy and completeness, identifying inconsistencies or discrepancies that indicate problems with the quality of work
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in financial services or call centre environment is an asset
- Willing to learn consumer credit and lending practices
