Summary

Join CPM Holdings, Inc., a global leader in process equipment and engineered technologies, as a Sales Professional. This remote position, based near a major East Coast or Midwest airport, requires strong communication, technical aptitude, and relationship-building skills within the food processing industry. You will meet sales goals, identify new business opportunities, and develop customer relationships. Technical understanding and presentation skills are crucial, along with collaboration with the technical team and participation in trade shows. The role demands domestic and international travel up to 50% of the time. Bilingualism (English/Spanish) is required, with Portuguese being a plus. This is a key role in a collaborative team-based selling model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or business
  • 5+ years of technical related direct capital equipment sales experience in processing
  • Strong closing skills
  • Dedicated work ethic
  • Technical competence
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Sound knowledge of PC use and applications
  • Must be bilingual – English / Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales & profitability goals
  • Identify and target new business opportunities within the assigned segment
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing customers as a trusted advisor
  • Must understand and articulate technical information in a concise manner
  • Bring the Voice of Customer back to the team
  • Conduct product presentations to showcase the value of our solutions
  • Collaborate with the technical team during customer projects
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and contract negotiations
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitive offerings
  • Manage participation in trade shows & sales meetings as necessary
  • Provide feedback to improve existing offerings and opportunity areas for new product development
  • Detailed and accurate forecasting of opportunities
  • Responsive to requests and inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Generate trip reports and actively utilize Sales Force
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous use of Sales Force
  • Thermal processing or industrial drying experience
  • Food processing industry sales experience
  • Knowledge of Engineering and Manufacturing processes
  • Portuguese is a significant plus
