Summary

The job is for a Behavioral Health Specialist at Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida. The role involves providing clinical services to patients through Telehealth, with a focus on trauma-informed care and equity. The employee will be expected to provide high-quality clinical assessment and therapy services, coordinate care plans, develop patient education content, and collaborate with the team.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Current Florida licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Well-qualified clinicians with relevant professional experience in counseling, emergency or crisis services, women’s, reproductive or LGBTQIA+ clinical settings
  • 2+ years of relevant clinical practical experience using evidence-based and empirically rooted clinical methods

Responsibilities

  • Provide under the supervision of the Behavioral Health Program Director patient-centered, trauma-sound direct clinical, care coordination, advocacy and support services to patients for PPSENFL Behavioral Health expansion to our patients through Telehealth
  • Assessment and provision for patient clinical & resource referral services in collaboration with health center team to meet patients’ self-identified goals and needs
  • Consultation to PPSENFL clinicians and health center staff on variety of behavioral health and resource-related needs to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Timely and comprehensive documentation; billing and data compliance that meets all federal, state, funder, and PPSENFL regulations and requirements
  • Coordination of BH referrals and care plans including team communication, patient follow-up, and documentation to enhance referral efficacy and reduce barriers to mental health, substance abuse, economic, or other stabilizing resources
  • Development and provision of Patient Education content in the health centers, in coordination with the Behavioral Health Program Director and BH team
  • Participation in BH Team, including attending individual & group supervision meetings, team meetings, training events and relevant PPSENFL events
  • Collaborates with BH team to identify team training needs, clinical & social determinant of health (SDOH) needs and trends, and effective tools, interventions, resources to enhance the overall care quality of BH services within the affiliate
  • Provides remote consultation & direct service coverage for team time off, absence, or to best meet patient needs within the Telehealth schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual – preferred
  • EMDR trained – preferred
  • Telehealth experience - preferred

Benefits

Hourly compensation range: Starting at $38.50/hour
