The ideal candidate will also possess experience in clinical diagnostics development, a track record of deploying bioinformatics pipelines, and strong communication skills. Requirements
- PhD or MS in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or related field
- 4+ years of industry experience in clinical diagnostics or related field
- Demonstrated expertise in DNA/RNA sequencing data analysis and interpretation
- Proficiency working with public genomics data sources (HapMap, dbSNP, 1000 Genomes Project, TCGA, GTEx, UK Biobank)
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with scientific/bioinformatics libraries
- Experience working in high-performance computing environments (Kubernetes, SGE, LSF, SLURM)
- Practical knowledge of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS or GCP
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration languages such as WDL and Nextflow
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of novel NGS assays for clinical diagnostic applications as part of a dynamic, cross-disciplinary team of molecular and computational biologists
- Design and implement robust analysis tools and pipelines for processing diagnostic assays across tumor, germline, and cell-free DNA samples
- Collaborate closely with wet lab scientists to build, troubleshoot, and optimize complex, high-throughput NGS workflows involving diverse sample types and analytical targets
- Partner with clinical staff to validate and successfully deploy assays into production environments
- Contribute expertise throughout the entire process flow—from initial sequencing through validation and production implementation

- Experience in clinical diagnostics development and regulatory requirements
- Track record of developing and deploying production-grade bioinformatics pipelines
- Publications or patents in relevant fields
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
