Bookkeeper

Join WongDoody as a freelance Bookkeeper and contribute to our growing team's financial tracking and reporting. You will work closely with Finance and Leadership, initially using Excel extensively with potential integration into additional finance systems. The role involves data entry, budgeting, revenue forecasting, reporting and analysis, vendor cost comparison, month-end close support, purchase order management, and vendor invoice management. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial. This position offers the potential for growth within a developing service. The hourly pay is $35/hr.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Excel is required
• Prior experience with purchase orders, vendor invoices, and financial tracking is essential
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to report on financials clearly

Responsibilities

• Input data accurately into Excel and accounting systems
• Prepare, track, and manage budgets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Monitor burn rate and estimated revenue, providing insights into budget management
• Develop forecasts to estimate future revenue and expenses
• Generate reports, analyze data, and manage financial information to support business decisions
• Compare vendor costs against booked hours, identify discrepancies, and report them
• Support month-end closing activities by tracking and managing our Provision and Reversal process
• Create, manage, and track purchase orders, ensuring alignment with budgets and vendor agreements
• Process vendor invoices and maintain accurate records

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in record-keeping and accounting systems preferred
