Summary

Join ChowNow as a Senior Business Analyst and contribute to shaping the future of their platform connecting diners and independent restaurants. You will partner with cross-functional leaders to understand business challenges, define key questions, and deliver insights through data analysis and reporting. Your role will involve uncovering actionable insights, delivering compelling reports and presentations, and advising key stakeholders. You will also develop and maintain key reporting and dashboards, translate analytical findings into clear insights, and present to non-technical audiences. This remote position is based in the Greater Victoria Area (including Vancouver) in British Columbia, Canada.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum 4-7 years of relevant experience in a Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Accounting or Finance role
  • Posses Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Are proficient SQL and data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Mode, Power BI etc)
  • Have strong ethics and high integrity while maintaining a sense of confidentiality
  • Are familiar with business operations, KPI's, and data storytelling and possess superb problem-solving aptitude while maintaining attention to detail
  • Have experience working cross functionally, especially with Customer Experience, Finance, Sales, and Marketing
  • Are able to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast paced environment
  • Are a self-starter, with a bias, towards action ownership, and delivering value

Responsibilities

  • Work on our core products and business functions to help shape the future of what we build and how we provide service at ChowNow
  • Partner closely with cross-functional leaders to deeply understand business challenges, define key questions, and deliver insights through thoughtful examination and reporting
  • Translate data into strategic narratives that influence direction and outcomes
  • Uncover actionable insights and improvement opportunities
  • Consistently deliver compelling reports, presentations, and executive summaries that guide operational and strategic planning
  • Develop and maintain key reporting and dashboards
  • Translate analytical findings into clear and compelling insights
  • Present to non-technical audiences
  • Support strategic initiatives by providing ad-hoc and recurring reporting, scenario modeling, measurement planning, and business case development
