Requirements

  • US Citizenship
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret/Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or QA Tester in a ServiceNow environment
  • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps, and CMDB
  • Strong experience with test case creation, execution, and automation for enterprise applications
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) and other test automation tools
  • Proficiency in Jira, TestRail, ALM, or similar test management platforms
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with a solid understanding of ITIL and DevOps methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyze business and technical requirements for ServiceNow implementations, enhancements, and integrations
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for development teams
  • Assist in designing, configuring, and optimizing ServiceNow applications, including workflows, business rules, UI policies, notifications, catalog items, and scripting (Glide API, JavaScript, and Flow Designer)
  • Act as a liaison between business users, developers, and ServiceNow architects, ensuring clarity of requirements and expectations
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining acceptance criteria, coordinating testing efforts, and validating outcomes with stakeholders
  • Provide guidance on ITIL best practices and Agile methodologies to align ServiceNow implementations with organizational objectives
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated/manual test scripts to validate ServiceNow functionality
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across ServiceNow modules
  • Utilize ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) to automate test cases and enhance test coverage
  • Leverage Jira, TestRail, ALM, or other test management tools to document test execution, defects, and enhancements
  • Identify, document, and track defects and performance issues using industry-standard defect tracking tools
  • Collaborate with developers and ServiceNow administrators to verify bug fixes, enhancements, and system changes
  • Ensure testing practices adhere to ITIL, Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD best practices to support efficient ServiceNow deployments
  • Conduct data validation and API testing for ServiceNow integrations with third-party applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), Certified Application Developer (CAD))
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API, REST APIs, Business Rules, and UI Actions) for test automation
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible) related to ServiceNow deployment
  • Experience working in federal, defense, or highly regulated environments
  • Familiarity with performance testing and security testing methodologies for ServiceNow applications
