Business Development Trainee/Junior Capture Manager

Summary

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field. Recent graduates with a relevant degree are highly encouraged to apply
• Skills: Strong research skills, search capabilities, and critical thinking. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Attributes: Strong desire to develop into a sales/business development resource. Enthusiasm for making cold calls and pursuing new business opportunities. Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn

Responsibilities

• Industry Learning: Acquire in-depth knowledge of the government contracting business development lifecycle
• Skill Development: Develop strong consulting and writing skills, along with other essential competencies needed for success in the government contracting sector
• Opportunity Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential new business opportunities
• Client Interaction: Build and maintain professional relationships with government and industry leaders
• Cold Calling: Demonstrate a proactive approach by making cold calls to potential clients, seeking out new opportunities, and expanding our business network
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with technical, financial, and legal teams to ensure accurate and compelling proposal submissions
• Administrative Support: Manage documentation, track proposal deadlines, and support overall business development efforts

Preferred Qualifications

Experience: Previous internships or experience in business development, capture management, or government contracting is a plus but not required
