C /C++ Software Engineer

Summary

Join a well-established organization building a stealth-mode startup to lead the design of virtualization platforms as a Senior Virtualization Engineer. This is a consulting position (2-3 hours weekly), remote, located anywhere in India. You will work with a software engineer, data scientist, and security consultant to build a new product revolutionizing cloud authentication and security. The role involves hands-on development and architecture, virtualization and infrastructure, software engineering and prototyping, and technology advisory. Competitive remuneration includes an hourly wage and performance-based bonuses. Training and development opportunities are also provided.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of relevant experience in Software and Virtualization Engineering
• Extensive experience in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) with hands-on development experience
• Hands on development experience in C/C++ languages
• Strong background in cloud strategies and tools
• Proven capabilities to architect scalable, secure cloud solutions and guide their implementation
• Solid understanding and interest in staying updated on emerging cloud trends and technologies
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members
• Ability to manage the project and adhere to deadlines
• Customer-focused mindset, dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions
• Aptitude for mentorship and training junior team members

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Development & Architecture: Particular emphasis in C and C++ Programming Model is a good basis
• Virtualization & Infrastructure: Build and optimize virtualization environments using VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V
• Software Engineering & Prototyping: Contribute directly to coding and prototype development, ensuring seamless cloud integration
• Technology Advisory: Guide technology choices, ensuring alignment with best practices and emerging cloud trends
