Cardio Pulmonary Technician

Summary

Join our team at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center as a Cardio Pulmonary Technician, responsible for monitoring and interpreting patient cardiac rhythms, providing verbal reports, and maintaining equipment. This role requires high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and BCLS certification. Previous clinical experience is preferred.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Must possess basic computer skills
• BCLS certification is required

Responsibilities

• Perform duties directly on the nursing unit or remotely in a central unit
• Monitor and interpret patient's cardiac rhythm
• Alert RN to any changes or arrhythmias and document according to hospital policy
• Provide verbal report to relief persons and give a full report to oncoming technicians
• Store equipment and ensure proper placement and function of equipment attached to the patient

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous clinical experience or monitor technician experience is preferred
• Rhythm Analysis Technician certification from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International is preferred
