Responsibilities

  • Leverage and expand your existing “Flatbed” carrier relationships in the flatbed market, particularly in the Midwest and Southeast regions
  • Stay updated on market trends and provide competitive pricing, especially in the flatbed sector
  • Pre-book loads, find backhauls for dedicated carriers, and manage load assignments, dispatch drivers, and send rate confirmations
  • Handle carrier paperwork, approve accessorials like lumper and detention fees, and ensure prompt payment to carriers
  • Manage carrier scorecards, conduct reviews, and monitor carrier performance to maintain a high level of service
  • Build lane density, particularly for flatbed freight, and work on dedicated opportunities. Manage rates and costing for RFPs
