Certification Quality Specialist II

Summary

Join Eurofins Scientific as a Certification Quality Specialist II and support product review and data management initiatives. Execute routine tasks and approvals, maintain database software systems, and support process updates. Work with limited supervision to maintain data quality and execute verification initiatives. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and adherence to business rules. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and maintain professional rapport with colleagues. Maintain documentation, uphold confidentiality, and stay updated on industry regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in food science/technology, life science, quality, regulatory affairs, data science, engineering, or related field
• Additional work experience may be substituted for education
• 1-3 years of experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as database applications
• Ability to execute multiple assignments/ tasks
• Ability to build rapport with project stakeholders
• Ability to maintain a mindset focused on continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, performs reviews and approvals against quality standards and protocols such as but not limited to
• Identifies and executes tasks and steps as defined by established processes
• Completes and submits work for review to meet deadlines
• Executes evaluations following approved processes and a defined set of rules
• Engages with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders following business rules and communicates information requests in a very clear, timely, and succinct manner
• Completes first drafts of data reviews, analysis of progress, and tracks and submits for review and compilation by supervisor, project leader, and/or colleagues
• Reviews documentation for accuracy and compliance following established business rules
• Identifies gaps and/or missing information and communicates clearly to appropriate contacts and stakeholders
• Maintains and updates documentation as required
• Works within specialized software systems
• Contributes to process improvement initiatives
• Collaborates and communicates with project leaders, colleagues, and subject matter experts within organization effectively
• Collaborates with internal and external resources to find solutions
• Ensures appropriate and timely communication of key information among team, project leader, and supervisor
• Establishes and maintains professional rapport with colleagues
• Follows SOPs and best practices under minimal supervision
• Participates in meetings and conference calls
• Reads and responds to emails, phone calls in a timely manner
• Maintains documentation and organizes records diligently per standardized procedure to ensure traceability
• Understands and upholds strict confidentiality policies in all aspects of daily work
• Keeps updated and educated on relevant news, regulations, literature, and findings in the relevant industries
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Seeks out information/facilities to get the job completed
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Data management experience a plus
• Knowledge of food and supplement regulations (FDA, CFR, Labeling, Nutrition) would be an asset
• Database experience a plus
