Summary
Join our team as a Certified Professional Medical Coder! You will be responsible for assigning accurate medical codes to patient records. This role requires at least one year of experience as a Certified Professional Coder in a US-based setting, proficiency in CPT, ICD, and HCPCS coding systems, and a strong understanding of US healthcare terminology and insurance plans. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential. You must also possess strong computer skills and reliable internet access. The position offers a competitive salary, paid time off, and HMO coverage.
Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of experience as Certified Professional Coder for a US-based provider/facility remotely or with a BPO company with knowledge of US healthcare procedures, terminologies, and diagnoses
- Mastery of CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD (International Classification of Diseases), and HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System)
- Adherence to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to protect patient privacy
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and avoid errors when coding
- Ability to identify and resolve coding errors and inconsistencies
- Effective time management to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), insurance portals, and US Coding related tools
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, email, calls and video conferencing tools
- Two (2) main and back-up reliable and high-speed internet connection
- Accurate and fast typing for data entry and coding
- Provide your own work from home tools which should meet the minimum Technical Requirements
- Willingness to go through virtual interviews, assessments, and actively participate in a Virtual Free 5-day Client Preparatory Training
- Full-time availability during Graveyard Shift (40 hours a week)
- Availability to work 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday (US Time)

Preferred Qualifications
