Summary

Join Veolia Group's NAM Application Engineering team as a Chemical and Monitoring Solutions engineer. This role, which can be remote or based in Trevose, PA, involves providing technical expertise in controls, systems integration, and project management. You will be responsible for equipment recommendations, troubleshooting, process improvement, and assisting the sales team. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, at least 3 years of water treatment experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Travel within North America is expected, and experience with Veolia IP products or equivalent platforms is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technical discipline (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or other technical discipline)
  • At least 3 years of experience in water treatment
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America, typically less than 15% of the time, but occasionally higher
  • Energetic self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, problem solving and facilitation skills
  • Ability to utilize MS tools or G Suite to develop, edit, and prepare documentation related to projects
  • Ability to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight, while demonstrating significant problem-solving ability with an dedication to deadlines and commitments
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups and customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Provide equipment recommendations, specifications, operational documentation, control algorithm programming, and general hardware and software support
  • Work with equipment system integrators and other equipment suppliers to develop and execute custom engineered solutions
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems for customers and/or the CMS field sales force via telephone or on-site at customer locations
  • Drive process improvement and enhancement tools to increase team’s productivity
  • Assist the CMS field sales team with equipment proposals, providing system design recommendations, custom design scope, standard equipment selection, and other technical input, as required to meet customer application needs
  • Increasing quality sales opportunities by developing relationships with the field sales and service teams within assigned region and/or product focus areas
  • Manage vendor deliverable schedules to align with order commitments. Responsible for components logistic coordination on all custom NAM projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience or working knowledge of Veolia IP products (True Sense / PaceSetter) or open market equivalent platforms
  • Ability to implement enhancement solutions using self-developed tools and team tools utilizing G Suite
  • Preference for AutoCAD, PLC programming and Water Treatment processes, controls and programming in chemical applications experience
