Summary

Join Fort Health as a 1099 Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist and provide fully remote psychiatric services to children and adolescents across the US. This opportunity offers flexible hours, working 3:30-8:30 PM CST Monday-Friday and optional Saturday hours. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, providing medication management, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing monitoring. Fort Health offers competitive session rates, onboarding pay, and malpractice insurance. The ideal candidate is a board-certified child psychiatrist with at least two years of experience treating children and adolescents and a minimum of one year providing medication management services. This role allows for a part-time schedule with the potential to increase hours as the company grows.

Requirements

• Board certified child psychiatrist with an active license in Texas or IL
• A minimum of 2 years of clinically relevant experience treating children and adolescents in a variety of settings
• A minimum of 1 year providing medication management service to child and adolescent patients with substantial competence in psychopharmacology
• Must have reliable, high-speed internet access with minimum speeds of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric services to individuals who otherwise may not have access to care
• Coordinate treatment planning and care delivery with Fort Health’s network of licensed therapists
• Adhere to Fort Health’s platform guidelines and policies and complete all required training
• Provide unparalleled clinical customer service through the delivery of prompt and empathetic care on the platform
• Provide software and operational feedback to Fort Health’s in-house engineering and operational teams to improve products, workflows and care delivery
• Implement medication treatment plans for mild to moderate disorders in a virtual clinic (i.e. telehealth) setting
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team of physicians, therapists, along with outside providers
• Ability to message between sessions to support patients and communicate with other internal providers
• Engage and collaborate in clinical meetings, supervision, and team meetings as appropriate
• Provide compensated scheduled supervision of nurse practitioners
• Work with a team of MDs, NPs, and clinicians to provide effective and evidence based treatment to our patients
• Traditional psychiatric services - diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and on-going monitoring
• Opportunities to work in a collaborative care model - work with a team of clinicians and care coordinators to consult and advise pediatricians on behavioral health
• Address issues in their patient population
• Able to work a limited, part-time schedule with possibility to ramp up as we grow
