CIMA Trainee

Summary

The job description is for a CIMA Trainee position at an unspecified client in Cape Town, South Africa. In this role, the employee will assist with financial planning, analysis, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, report preparation, and month-end/year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, enrollment in the CIMA qualification, strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, excellent communication skills, teamwork abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines. Prior internship experience in finance or accounting is beneficial. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Enrollment in the CIMA qualification or willingness to pursue the CIMA qualification
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial planning and analysis
• Perform cost analysis and management accounting tasks
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc duties as required

Preferred Qualifications

Prior internship experience in finance or accounting is a plus
