Requirements

• 2+ years as a veterinary medical professional or veterinary technician or equivalent experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• All-around team player who is a self-motivated, fast learner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
• Able to interpret and analyze documents and insurance policies
• Eligible to be licensed as a Property & Casualty adjuster

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with CX to provide customer service, guidance, and education to Pumpkin policyholders through every step of the claims process
• Review veterinary bills for accuracy and to determine whether coverage applies for claimed costs
• Investigate claims to determine if coverage applies based on applicable insurance policies
• Collaborate with other stakeholders in the organization to give technical knowledge and advice
• Communicate with veterinary providers to obtain further information and records as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pet insurance
• Experience in other lines of insurance
