Join Natera as a Clinical Assistant II and support the Genetic Counseling team by managing follow-up data collection, facilitating communication, and contributing to product improvements. You will ensure efficient clinical and administrative processes, enhancing team productivity and patient outcomes. Responsibilities include acting as a liaison between various departments, supporting data collection for internal projects, participating in team meetings, and coordinating student rotations. You will also manage clinical assistant-specific duties such as reviewing referrals, requesting documentation, tracking samples, updating databases, and collecting patient data. Compliance with HIPAA/PHI regulations is essential. This role is primarily remote.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets), and other office tools
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across teams
- Duties are primarily performed in a remote setting
- Requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed or digital materials
- May occasionally require working outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends
Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between Shipping, Sample Accessioning, Customer Support, and lab teams to troubleshoot issues, verify samples, and streamline processes
- Support data collection for internal projects, product development, and abstracts; provide review and edits for authored abstracts
- Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing tasks and initiatives
- Coordinate student rotation schedules, ensuring a smooth onboarding process
- Manage clinical assistant-specific duties, including: Reviewing incoming referrals and requesting additional documentation or clarification as needed
- Requesting and tracking sample collection kits and addressing patient questions regarding samples
- Updating internal databases regarding test development progress and maintaining notes in LIMS for patient or provider interactions
- Collecting transfer and pregnancy outcome data from clinics and patients
- Assisting genetic counselors with clinic and customer support inquiries
- Coordinating patient record release requests
- Assisting genetic counselors in tracking licensure applications and status for various states
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA/PHI privacy regulations and complete all necessary training within the first 30 days of hire
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, allied health, or a related scientific field
- Candidates pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of professional experience in biotech, life sciences, or a related industry will also be considered
