Clinical Informatics Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical informatics, health informatics, or a related field required
• 5+ years of experience in clinical informatics, with a focus on management and/or clinical system implementations
• Ability to travel into the clinical market as needed (Minneapolis-Saint Paul, MN)
• Experience working with electronic healthcare record (EHR) systems required
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience managing cross-functional teams
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach
• US Work Authorization required

Responsibilities

• Own the EHR help desk; Review and resolve EHR-related IT tickets (IE service desk inquiries related to our EHR and other technologies integrated within the EHR)
• Serve as the clinical subject matter expert for application configuration and workflow design, ensuring systems align with clinical operations and goals
• Lead and guide clinical informatics initiatives, including the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of our electronic health record (EHR) systems and other clinical applications
• Collaborate closely with clinical teams, IT, and other departments to identify workflow improvements and resolve issues related to system utilization
• Conduct needs assessments, quality assurance testing, and user acceptance evaluations to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of clinical informatics programs
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the clinical informatics team, helping align efforts with organizational goals and priorities
• Maintain confidentiality of all protected health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal security policies

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or certification in clinical informatics or a related field
• Experience in healthcare settings, particularly those serving older adult populations
• Experience in a start-up environment
