Summary
Join Sprinter Health as a Clinical Support Specialist and play a vital role in ensuring our clinicians and patients receive top-tier care. You will prepare for patient appointments by reviewing schedules and ensuring all necessary information is in the system. This involves cross-functional collaboration to gather missing data and documentation. You will also work with the nursing team to follow up with patients. The role is remote and requires a private workspace. The schedule may adjust to cover various time zones. This is a new role on a newly created team.
Requirements
- Possess strong writing skills
- Have quick and accurate typing speed, and excellent computer skills
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in appointment documentation and record-keeping
- Have experience with medical terminology
- Be able to work in a stressful and fast-paced environment
- Be self-motivated
- Have excellent follow through
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical & administrative support as needed to the clinical team
- Review each visit to ensure labs, documentation, and patient education completed
- Track and notify patients of lab values, imaging reports, etc. as directed by providers
- Review schedule to ensure each visit is accurate and ready for in-home visit
- Transcribe data into EMR before a visit to include past medical hx, surgical hx, medications, preventative care, etc. for review by the provider during visit with patient
- Upload documents into EMR
- Oversee the management of medical records and ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise between clinical and administrative teams
- Facilitate communication between patients, medical staff, and administrative departments to enhance patient experience
- Address patient inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive environment
- Monitor daily operations to identify areas for improvement in service delivery and efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Have prior medical office experience (2 years preferred)
- Have experience with Elation
- Have experience with coding
