Clojure Backend Engineer

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a software engineer (we have openings at several levels)
• Fluent with Clojure
• Team player with positive attitude
• Excellent debugging, investigation, and troubleshooting skills
• Proficient in measuring and optimizing application performance at a variety of layers
• No fear of writing SQL (Postgres) queries, designing relational tables
• Great communication and documentation skills
• Experience working with data storage, transformation and querying
• Values simple, reliable, observable software

Responsibilities

• Work with your team to build maintainable solutions to real business problems
• Understand customer problems and constraints to deliver the best possible
• Learn our internal frameworks, improve existing solutions and create new tooling
• Write Clojure code with a focus on its legibility, maintainability and performance
• Review and give feedback on code changes proposed by other engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Postgres and Redis
• Experience with Google Cloud
• Experience with Temporal
