Join VetsEZ as a full-time, remote Cloud Architect to support a Department of Veterans Affairs project. This role centers on managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure for high availability, security, and performance. You will set up and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure, implement and manage security protocols, and manage application deployments. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 8+ years of experience in cloud administration and specific technical skills. Additional qualifications, such as experience in SAFe/Agile and the federal government IT space, are beneficial. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience
- 8+ years of experience in cloud administration
- 3-5 years of experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and management
- Proficiency with AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure automation
- Experience with GovCloud
- Experience with monitoring tools and centralized logging for system health and incident response
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards (CDA, FHIR, HL7) for regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure, including server management and network configuration across development, testing, and production environments
- Implement and manage security protocols (firewalls, access controls, encryption) to protect sensitive data within the Health Data Quality Tools (DQT) system
- Manage application deployments and ensure all environments are correctly configured and maintained
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development
- Experience working in the federal government IT space
- Familiarity with VA environment is a plus
- Ability to obtain a government clearance
