This technical position requires understanding of Microsoft Azure/Google Cloud Platform services and functionality. The successful candidate will design and implement business solutions, share knowledge with the Technology team, and stay up-to-date with latest innovations.

Requirements

  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform
  • Minimum experience 3-6 years preferred
  • Skilled in planning, designing, building and implementing cloud services with non-functional requirements
  • Skilled in networking and security
  • Skilled administering Linux and/or Windows Operating Systems
  • Skilled in writing infrastructure as code scripts (ARM Templates, Python, PowerShell, Bash, T-SQL)
  • Skilled working with relational database technologies (MS SQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Skilled in optimizing workloads, reducing run times for automated processes
  • Skilled in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps)
  • Experience in configuration/orchestration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, DSC)
  • Knowledge in NoSQL database technologies
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator certified or future equivalent
  • Microsoft Azure Security Engineer certified or future equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other engineers/technology professionals to implement and thoroughly test a business solution on cloud by completing all requirements
  • Contribute to creation of design for various cloud-based business solutions
  • Spread the knowledge learned across Technology. Train and coach colleagues how to work with various services on cloud and what standards and best practices to follow
  • Create required documentation to meet business objectives and compliance requirements
  • Ensure any services that the team owns are always in best health, respond to incidents be it outage or security breach
