Summary

Join Herself Health as a Cloud Engineer and contribute to designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions supporting our healthcare technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing cloud resources, leading migration initiatives, and ensuring system reliability. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of cloud engineering experience and strong knowledge of cloud security and compliance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance, IAM, endpoint security, Incident response
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such a Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation deployment
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies
  • Experience with Containerization & Orchestration
  • Database, data backup and retention knowledge
  • Understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable multi cloud solutions to support Herself Healthโ€™s healthcare technology initiatives
  • Work with leadership and stakeholders to assess business needs and translate them into cloud architecture and infrastructure solutions
  • Implement best practices for cloud security, data integrity, and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g. HIPAA)
  • Manage and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability
  • Collaborate with system administrators to integrate cloud-based applications and services
  • Maintain and monitor cloud environments to ensure system reliability and uptime
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations
  • Conduct troubleshooting and performance tuning of cloud-based applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture within a healthcare related organization
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Cloud Security Professional) are a plus but not required
  • Experience with healthcare-specific cloud solutions, such as Salesforce, HealthCloud
  • Knowledge of relevant frameworks (HiTrust, NIST)
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare interoperability standards
