Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and services
- Strong knowledge of containerizing applications (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Windows servers and services
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage public cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and private cloud infrastructure and services
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
- Implement and manage security measures to protect cloud environments
- Build and manage deployment pipelines using common CI/CD tools
- Automate cloud operations and workflows using scripting and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues and incidents
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices
- Document cloud and system configurations, procedures, and changes
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable
- Demonstrates self-reliance by meeting/exceeding workflow needs
- Demonstrates positive attitude and motivation, concern for students, teamwork, and excellent time management skills
- Follows established processes as outlined by organization and leadership
- Completes assigned duties based on daily business needs and individual skill set
- Consistently produces a high volume of quality work
- Capable, and adapts as needed, to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and with other department personnel
