Summary
Join Pathward, a hybrid, remote-office financial empowerment company, as a Cloud Platform Architect! You will own architectural responsibilities, defining and supporting the implementation of modern cloud platform solutions. Drive architectural effectiveness, envision future cloud architecture, and develop technology roadmaps. Design solutions, mentor engineering teams, and evaluate cloud platform technology. Provide technical leadership, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the enterprise knowledge base. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 12+ years of related experience, and proficiency with major cloud services providers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent education and work experience
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a bachelor’s or equivalent
- Proficient with major cloud services providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- 12+ years of varied experience implementing all aspects of solution architecture. Exposure to application development, integration, information management, infrastructure, and information security domains
- 10+ years of complex enterprise experience leading architecture efforts. Subject matter expertise across varying technology and business disciplines
- 10+ years of architecture scalable, secure, highly available, and fault tolerant technical solutions
- 6+ years of major cloud services providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- 6+ years of understanding of cloud security principles and practices, including secure software development, threat modeling, and incident response
- 5+ years of banking or financial services and products domain experience. Comparable domain experience will also be considered
- Proven success in planning, influencing, and leading architecture initiatives across IT and business organizations and teams
Responsibilities
- Drive the architectural effectiveness of technology solution-related initiatives for the cloud platform within the organization
- Envision future state cloud architecture aligned with business objectives. Develop technology roadmaps to smoothly transition from the current state to the desired future state
- Architects cloud platform solutions that address specific business capabilities and non-functional requirements such as availability, performance, security, compliance, and governance
- Designs solutions to advance and optimize the enterprise infrastructure
- Mentor, provide guidance, support design efforts, and establish standards for Product Engineering teams
- Evaluates cloud platform technology, market trends and industry and identifies opportunities for cost effectiveness, operational efficiency, and automation
- Promotes architecture process and results to organization inclusive of security, technology, and business leaders
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure architectural best practices and standards
- Collaborates closely with cloud platform technology leaders, including Cloud Automation Engineers, Cloud Security Engineers, and Cloud Operations Engineers
- Contributes to enterprise knowledge base, creating and updating articles on cloud and organizational standards, best-practices, and how-to guides to better serve the development teams
- Creates logical architecture diagrams to support large, complex, and cross-capability area initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
