Cloud Engineering Intern

This 3-month, remote (with hybrid options in Toronto) Master's level internship offers hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will assist in building and scaling cloud infrastructure, monitor performance, and document processes. Ideal candidates possess a strong understanding of cloud computing, DevOps, and ideally, MLOps, along with experience in GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Python. Requirements

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Master’s program in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or a related field
• Strong understanding of Cloud Computing and DevOps
• Some understanding of MLOps
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Able to work in a collaborative environment
• Passionate about working at a startup

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure and services
• Work with Google Cloud Platform to deploy and manage resources
• Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance, security, and cost-efficiency
• Document cloud architecture and operational procedures
• Stay up-to-date with emerging Cloud, DevOps and MLOps practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s program enrollment or completion is preferred but not mandatory
• Experience with GCP is preferred (AWS and Azure is acceptable)
• Experience in Kubernetes orchestration
• Experience in Terraform scripting
• Proficiency in Python scripting
