Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field
- 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, and maintaining digital engineering tools. Examples could include PLMs like 3DExperience, Windchill or Siemens teamcenter, CAD tools like CATIA, NX, or CREO, and other tools frequently used by Systems, Mechanical, Electrical or adjacent engineering functions
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including RMF, NIST 800-171, and NIST 800-53
- Experience with security documentation, including SSPs and risk assessments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with CaC and IaC development, including Terraform
- Knowledge of STIG compliance and implementation
- Background in AWS cloud services deployment, such as EC2, IAM, and VPC networking
- Strong experience with IT networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, and routing
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and optimize digital engineering tools to meet project and operational requirements
- Manage multiple tool versions and manage the switching between as needed
- Implement hot fixes, version updates, and new installations with minimal disruptions
- Proactively monitor system performance and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain multiple instances of digital engineering tools across different environments (development, testing, production)
- Ensure consistency and reliability of configurations and deployments
- Deploy new versions of our Istari DE Tool integrations, coordinating with cross-functional teams
- Collaborate on release management to ensure successful rollouts and rollbacks
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure solutions for digital engineering tools
- Utilize Configuration as Code (CaC) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, including Terraform, to automate and manage infrastructure deployments
- Apply cybersecurity expertise during the installation and configuration of digital engineering tools
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities and apply best practices accordingly
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including RMF, NIST 800-171, and NIST 800-53, in collaboration with the engineering team
- Ensure compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for deployed digital engineering tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
- Previous experience in a DevOps-focused role or environment
- Experience with ITAR compliance
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
