Summary

Join our team as a Cloud Network Engineer! This remote contract position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in internet and data center networks. You will need a solid understanding of various network technologies and experience with CentOS/Red Hat operating systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with globally distributed peers. This role involves analyzing and resolving network incidents, and experience with F5/Nginx+, Linux/Unix networking, and scripting is highly desired. The ability to partner with globally distributed peers is a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in working on Internet and data center networks
  • Possess a solid understanding of and have experience with most of the following network technologies: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, HSRP/VRRP, IPSEC, SNMP, Kubernetes, containers, servers
  • Familiarity with Centos/Red Hat operating systems required
  • Proven ability to analyze and solve network incidents at all layers
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to drive owned issues a must
  • Ability to partner with peers who are globally distributed is a key part of this role

Preferred Qualifications

  • F5/Nginx+ knowledge and experience strongly desired
  • Linux/Unix networking knowledge strongly desired
  • Scripting experience (shell scripts, Perl, Python, Ansible) is a plus
  • Experience with network monitoring applications such as EMC Watch4Net, Cacti, Splunk is a plus
