Remote Cloud Release Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Cloud Release Engineer to automate internal workflows and contribute to centralized build and deployment pipelines for our Cloud offerings. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with peers to build reusable components and work with internal teams to reduce developer toil and help with their successful execution of everyday software development.

Requirements

• Clearly communicates both verbally and in writing to enable async work across time zones
• Proactively works closely with other teams to discover problems, capture technical requirements, and explain technical intricacies
• Desires to continually keep up with advancements in Software Engineering practices
• Has extensive experience with developer tooling, including building scripts, tools, or services that are frequently used by internal teams
• Has experience using both compiled languages (Go, Rust, C++) and command languages (Bash)
• Has experience building reusable CD pipelines for Cloud offerings
• Has a detailed understanding of infrastructure management concepts, ecosystems, and tooling (prior experience with HashiCorp products is a huge plus!)

Responsibilities

• Helping to evolve the CD strategy for our service pipelines with a focus on reusability and scale
• Crafting smaller issues and code changes by collaborating with partners to reduce scope and focus on iteration
• Improving, managing, and guiding our standards for code maintainability and reusability in code reviews and submissions
• Independently contribute, maintain, and add features to shared libraries and tools that many teams rely on

Benefits

• Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training
• $153,000 — $180,000 USD (base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area)
• $140,300 — $165,000 USD (base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area))
• $127,500 — $150,000 USD (base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro))
