Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer - Senior

Summary

Join Mindera as a Senior Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) and contribute to cloud resource management and migration efforts. You will design and implement scalable Azure solutions, manage cloud infrastructures, ensure data protection, and conduct disaster recovery planning. Responsibilities include writing infrastructure as code, guiding Azure migrations, and improving Kubernetes deployment processes. This role requires 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for Azure, along with expertise in IaaS and PaaS solutions. Proficiency in GIT, Azure DevOps, and various IT skills is essential. The position offers a flexible work environment and various benefits.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for Azure Cloud
• Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration and optimization of cloud platforms
• Experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions
• Experience in the design, migration and operation of medium to large scale enterprise infrastructure, databases and application systems
• Experience working within an Agile framework
• Experience in IaC development with Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible
• Proficient with GIT to perform source code management
• Experience with Terraform Cloud and Azure DevOps
• Experience with Jira and ServiceNow
• Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking, systems administration, data protection, information security and CI/CD tooling
• Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross functional partners
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available Azure cloud solutions, including exit strategies
• Managing and monitoring cloud infrastructures for optimal performance and cost-efficiency, automating deployments with Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and ARM templates
• Ensuring data protection and compliance, and collaborating with development teams to integrate cloud services
• Conducting disaster recovery planning and implementing backup strategies
• Optimising resource utilisation, keeping up to date with Azure updates, and providing technical support
• Developing and maintaining documentation, facilitating legacy system migrations, and managing security and access controls
• Implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) and automated data protection practices
• Supporting cloud adoption, ensuring performance standards, and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation for technical escalations

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS, GCP or other cloud providers is an advantage
