Summary
Join Telix Pharmaceuticals as a Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) Intern and support the international rollout of their prostate cancer imaging agent. This hands-on role involves assisting with external manufacturing and CDMO contracting activities, including preparing and tracking work orders, reviewing technical statements of work (SOWs), and managing supporting documentation. You will contribute to developing and maintaining process flow diagrams for complex radiopharmaceutical supply chains. Gain real-world experience in pharmaceutical operations and cross-functional project coordination, learning about drug manufacturing, CDMO partnerships, and regulatory readiness. The internship builds skills in operational execution, documentation, and supply chain process mapping within a collaborative biotech environment. You will deliver a final presentation summarizing your work and suggestions for improvement.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelorโs or Masterโs program in one of the following disciplines: Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Other life science or technical fields relevant to drug development or operations
- Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Ability to follow standard procedures, compliance requirements, and documentation protocols
- Willingness to learn how external manufacturing, vendor engagement, and document control systems function in a regulated environment
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision after initial onboarding
- Reliable communicator with an interest in learning how cross-functional teams operate in pharmaceutical development
Responsibilities
- Work alongside CMC leads to prepare and revise technical statements of work (SOWs) and draft work orders that define outsourced manufacturing activities
- Support the submission, tracking, and follow-up of approvals for work orders and POs. Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure execution stays on schedule
- Participate in evaluating and mapping existing operational workflows to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in contracting and documentation processes
- Help maintain accurate version control of contracts and reconcile documentation related to budget line items, executed work, and associated invoices
- Upload finalized contracts and related documents to SharePoint and document control systems. Ensure records are filed correctly and remain accessible to the team
- Attend internal project and CMC meetings to take structured notes, track follow-up actions, and support meeting documentation using shared tools
- Assist in refining team templates and tools, such as stage-gate trackers, decision logs, and process flow diagrams, to improve clarity, usability, and operational efficiency
- Deliver a short presentation at the end of the internship summarizing your work, lessons learned, and suggestions for improving CMC operational support
