Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a CMS developer with in-depth knowledge of a specific CMS platform such as WordPress, Drupal, or HubSpot
- Proficiency in front-end development languages including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Experience with templating languages and frameworks relevant to the chosen CMS platform
- Proficiency in performance optimization techniques for speed, accessibility, and SEO best practices to enhance website visibility and user experience
- Expertise in developing custom plugins and themes for CMS platforms
- Strong understanding of web design principles and best practices for user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions
- Ability to anticipate potential problems and proactively address them
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful delivery
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain complex websites and web applications using a specific CMS platform
- Design and implement custom themes, templates, modules, and plugins to extend CMS functionalities and achieve unique user experiences
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and stakeholders to understand website objectives and translate them into technical requirements
- Optimize website performance for speed, accessibility, and search engine ranking (SEO)
- Implement best practices for code quality, security, and maintainability
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the CMS and website functionality
- Stay up-to-date on the latest CMS developments, trends, and best practices
- Document technical specifications and processes for future reference
- May contribute to the development and maintenance of internal tools and workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of back-end development and database management is a plus
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular) is a plus
- Understanding of headless CMS architecture and RESTful APIs is a plus
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) is a plus
