Summary

Join WelbeHealth PACE as a Coding Manager and lead a team of medical coders and auditors. You will oversee coding compliance, develop coding strategies, and ensure regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include managing staff, optimizing workflows, conducting audits, and providing provider education. This remote position requires a minimum of five years of coding experience, three years of auditing experience, and three to five years of supervisory experience. A relevant associate's degree is preferred, or two years of relevant experience may substitute. Active CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H, CPMA, or CRC credential is required. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree preferred; two (2) years of relevant experience may be substituted in leu of a degree
  • Active CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H, CPMA, or CRC credential
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in coding
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in coding auditing experience, with a demonstrated background in healthcare coding
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Coding Auditor staff including hiring, training, coaching, supervising, and mentoring
  • Oversee all workflows of the Coding Auditor & Educators, prepare staffing schedules, and assure that tasks are accurately performed in a timely manner, aimed at meeting targeted deadlines and goals
  • Maximize staff productivity and service, resolve workplace problems of staff and processes, and develop procedures and guidelines
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Education teams in developing educational materials and workflows, identifying opportunities for HCC Coding education
  • Conduct audits and participate in provider education programs to ensure compliance with CMS risk adjustment diagnosis coding guidelines
  • Maintain expert knowledge of coding workflow and optimize use of technology
  • Stay informed of all industry, federal, state, and system requirements, and communicate and incorporate such into the day-to-day activities
