Commercial Litigation Attorney

Summary

The job posting is for a Commercial Litigation Attorney with at least 4 years of experience in litigation, specifically breach of contract, D&O, and trade secret litigation. The position is within a leading defense litigation law firm located in San Diego, CA.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in California
• 4-6+ years of experience in commercial litigation
• Experience with MSJs
• Experience with complex factual patterns and legal argument, such as nuance with contractual interpretations and breach of fiduciary duty claims
• Ability to handle discovery disputes with minimal supervision
• Ability to take depositions

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
• Work closely with other attorneys and Partners
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports
• Regularly handle court appearances, and depositions

Preferred Qualifications

• Corporate Governance experience is a plus
• Legal project management experience is helpful
