Summary

We are seeking a motivated Sales Professional with 5+ years of technical related direct capital equipment sales experience in processing to join our dynamic sales team. The role involves meeting sales goals, identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, understanding technical information, conducting product presentations, collaborating with the technical team, preparing sales proposals, staying updated with industry trends, managing participation in trade shows & sales meetings, providing feedback for product improvement, and detailed forecasting. The position is 100% remote but requires travel up to 50% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/chemical engineering or business
  • 5+ years of technical related direct capital equipment sales experience in processing
  • Strong closing skills
  • Dedicated work ethic
  • Technical competence
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Sound knowledge of PC use and applications

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales & profitability goals
  • Identify and target new business opportunities within the assigned segment
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing customers as a trusted advisor
  • Must understand and articulate technical information in a concise manner
  • Bring the Voice of the Customer back to the Sales and Business Development Manager
  • Conduct product presentations to showcase the value of our solutions
  • Collaborate with the technical team during customer projects
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and contract negotiations
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitive offerings
  • Manage participation in trade shows & sales meetings as necessary
  • Provide feedback to improve existing offerings and opportunity areas for new product development
  • Detailed and accurate forecasting of opportunities
  • Responsive to requests and inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Generate trip reports and utilize Sales Force

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous use of Sales Force
  • Thermal processing or industrial drying experience
  • Food processing industry sales experience
  • Knowledge of Engineering and Manufacturing processes
