Responsibilities

  • Fulfill the operations of the Food & Beverage outlets according to the Company policies, high standards and procedures
  • Take care of the mise en place
  • Support the Bar Manager with service
  • Clean and set-up floors, tables, chairs, linens, glass and silver for service
  • Monitor all aspects of the customers' experience, from the bar layout before they arrive to the experience they receive during the service. Act to enhance a flawless service and anticipate Guests’ needs
  • Effective communication: communicate clearly and in an appropriate manner (both verbally and non-verbally)
  • Emotional intelligence: demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and emotions of guests and colleagues and adjust his/her style to them. Manage own emotions in challenging situations
  • Adaptability: identify when a different approach is needed and offer solutions. Try and adopt new ways of doing things
  • Collaboration: be able and willing to work as a team player e Share information and skills and actively seek and provide feedback

Job description

Grand Hotel Timeo, in the heart of the most famous square of Taormina, is looking for a Commis de Restaurant.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges. He/she should have exemplary customer service skills.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fulfill the operations of the Food & Beverage outlets according to the Company policies, high standards and procedures.

He/she will:

  • Take care of the mise en place

  • Support the Bar Manager with service

  • Clean and set-up floors, tables, chairs, linens, glass and silver for service

  • Seasonal contract according to Italian law “C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo - Federalberghi.”
