Compliance Analyst

Summary

Astra is seeking a Compliance Analyst with 2-5 years of experience in compliance for customer onboarding and ongoing operations. The role involves conducting due diligence reviews, enforcing compliance standards, maintaining functional documents, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in compliance, including AML monitoring, KYC, Unusual Activity Reporting (UARs), audit, and customer due diligence; preferably in payments, banking, financial technology, and/or a related startup environment
• Knowledge of banking regulations, including but not limited to BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, and Reg E
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work effectively

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive due diligence reviews and risk assessments of new and existing customers
• Manage and organize the audit schedule, communicate with customers, and review customers for KYC compliance
• Enforce compliance standards by monitoring unusual activity alerts and supporting AML and Fraud reporting
• Help maintain functional documents and processes that govern audit procedures, both internal and as related to external audits
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that customer needs are met in a timely and effective manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with project management tools, such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Asana
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, and Power BI
• Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and other integration technologies
