Compliance Specialist

Summary

Join AHEAD as a Compliance Specialist and contribute to building a robust compliance function. This remote role involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders, managing compliance projects, assisting in implementing a compliance program, and conducting data privacy audits. You will report to AHEAD’s Corporate Counsel, Compliance. The position requires expertise in U.S. and international data privacy laws, experience with government agencies, and strong analytical and communication skills. Project management experience and proficiency in Microsoft tools are also essential.

Requirements

• Knowledge of U.S. data privacy laws (CCPA, CPRA, TCPA) and experience with GDPR
• Experience interacting with or working for government agencies
• Expertise in drafting and reviewing a broad range of policies
• Expertise in Microsoft tools, including Powerpoint and Excel
• Project or program management experience
• Strong analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent business judgment, attention to detail, and self-motivation

Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal stakeholders as well as customers, vendors, and regulators, as necessary
• Manage compliance-related projects for current and evolving laws and obligations
• Assist in implementing an effective compliance program
• Assist with data privacy related audits as necessary
• Assess and minimize sources of risk, with appropriate escalations as necessary
